Application of Wheel Assembly

Parts of the Wheel Assembly
Bearings
They are generally available in the form of balls and tapers and are a crucial component of wheel assembly. It rides on the shaft of the axle and fits into the hub. They withstand the torque received from the vehicle during the ride and are prone to be worn out quicker than any other component.
Hub
There can't be a wheel hub assembly without the wheel hub. It is the skeleton of the entire ensemble. It is responsible for connecting the wheel to the axle of the vehicle. The wheel hub provides inlets for the bearings. Together they form a compact structure. When the bearings fail, the wheel hub provides additional support for some time before wearing out.
Rotor
Rotors help to halt the vehicle to a stop when you apply brakes. The brakes, are connected with the calipers present on the wheels; pressing the brakes causes the calipers to squeeze on the brake pads against the rotors of the vehicle. This causes friction between the two and stops the spinning motion of the wheels.
Seals
The seals are attached between the bearings and the axle and prevent the entry of unwanted substances into these components. They are designed to store grease for lubrication of the bearings, which allows smoother functioning of the hub assembly without the harmful effects of friction.
