1. Regular inspection
Appearance inspection: Check the wheel body, rope groove and side plate of the Wire Rope Sheave regularly. Check whether the wheel body has deformation, cracks, etc., because these problems may affect the strength and stability of the pulley. For the rope groove, pay attention to its wear degree. Slight wear is normal, but if the wear is excessive, the wire rope may fall out of the groove. You can use a gauge to measure the depth and width of the rope groove and compare it with the original specifications to judge the wear. At the same time, check whether the side plate is damaged. The intact side plate can effectively prevent the wire rope from falling out.
Health Check
When the equipment is running, pay attention to whether the pulley rotates smoothly. If there are abnormal conditions such as jamming and vibration, it may be caused by bearing damage, improper matching between the shaft and the hub, or foreign matter in the rope groove. Problems can also be found by checking the running sound of the pulley. Under normal circumstances, the sound of the pulley rotating is relatively stable. If there is a sharp friction sound or impact sound, further inspection is required.
2. Cleaning work
Cleaning frequency: Determine the cleaning cycle according to the use environment and frequency. In dusty and oily environments, such as ports or factories, the cleaning frequency should be appropriately increased. Generally speaking, cleaning once a week or every two weeks is more appropriate.
Cleaning method: Use a clean soft cloth or brush to remove dust, oil and other impurities from the pulley surface. For dirt in the rope groove, you can use a special detergent to clean it, then rinse it with clean water, and finally make sure the pulley is completely dry to avoid rust.
3. Lubrication maintenance
Choose lubricant: Choose the appropriate lubricant according to the working environment of the pulley. In high temperature environment, high temperature resistant grease should be used; in environment with risk of chemical corrosion, lubricant with anti-corrosion performance should be used.
Lubrication method and cycle: Apply lubricant evenly to the shaft neck, rope groove and other parts of the pulley. The lubrication cycle is generally once a month, but if the equipment is used frequently, the cycle can be shortened appropriately. A well-lubricated pulley can effectively reduce friction and extend its service life.
4. Parts Replacement
Timely replacement: When key parts of the pulley, such as bearings and side plates, are severely damaged, or the rope groove wear exceeds the prescribed limit, the parts must be replaced in time to avoid affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
Replacement precautions: When replacing parts, ensure that the specifications of the new parts are consistent with the original parts, and the installation process must be carried out strictly in accordance with the operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and firmness of the installation.
