1. Key components of lifting mechanism

Motor lubrication: First determine the lubrication points of the motor, mainly the bearings. For most STS Gantry Crane motor bearings, grease lubrication is used. Before lubrication, clean the bearings and the surrounding area to prevent dust and impurities from mixing into the grease.

It is important to choose the right grease. Considering the working environment of the crane, such as in an environment with high temperature, high humidity or corrosive gas, a grease with corresponding characteristics should be selected. For example, high temperature resistant lithium-based grease can be used in a high temperature environment. Generally, a special grease gun is used to inject grease into the bearing every certain period of operation or according to the equipment manufacturer's recommendations. The injection amount should be moderate to avoid excessive heating of the bearing.

Reducer lubrication: Reducers are usually lubricated with lubricating oil. Check the oil level and oil quality regularly, and the oil level should be kept within the specified range of the oil window. If the oil is turbid, discolored, or contains metal chips, it should be replaced in time.

Select the appropriate lubricant according to the reducer model and working conditions. When replacing the lubricant, drain the old oil first, clean the inside with clean oil, and then add new oil. For cranes that work continuously, the lubricant is generally replaced every 1000-1500 hours; for cranes that work intermittently, the replacement cycle can be appropriately extended.

Drum and wire rope lubrication

The bearings of the reel can be lubricated with grease or oil bath. When lubricating with grease, inject grease regularly with a grease gun, once every 3-6 months. When lubricating with oil bath, pay attention to the oil level to prevent oil leakage.

The lubrication of the wire rope should not be neglected. Choose a special wire rope lubricant with good permeability and lubricate it by brushing or spraying. Apply the lubricant evenly on the surface of the wire rope, especially the gaps between the strands, generally once every 1-2 months.

2. Key components of the operating mechanism

Trolley wheel and track lubrication: The trolley wheel bearings are generally lubricated with grease, which should be checked and replenished regularly every 2 to 4 months. At the same time, lubricants can be applied to the track surface on which the trolley runs to reduce the friction between the wheels and the track, once every 3 to 6 months.

Lubrication of trolley wheels and tracks: The bearing lubrication method of trolley wheels is similar to that of trolleys, but due to the greater weight of trolleys, the load-bearing capacity of grease is required to be higher. For trolley tracks, lubrication can be carried out by automatic lubrication system or manual application, generally every 4-8 months.

3. Other components

Lubrication of hinge shafts and joints

The connection parts of the STS Gantry Crane, such as the door leg hinge shaft, are prone to friction and wear. These parts can be lubricated with grease. Check and add grease regularly, every 3-6 months, to ensure the connection parts are flexible.
