1. Preparation before installation
Check the components: First, check the various components of the Rail Clip Assembly. Check whether the rail fasteners are deformed or damaged, especially the spring clips should have good elasticity. Check whether the sleeper pads are intact, damaged, aged, etc. For insulating components, ensure that they have good insulation performance and no cracks or damage. At the same time, check whether the specifications of the bolts and nuts meet the requirements and whether the quantity is complete.
Clean the work area: Clean the installation surface of the sleeper and rail to remove dust, debris, rust, etc. The sleeper surface should be flat, and the bottom and sides of the rail should also be clean, so as to ensure good contact between the Rail Clip Assembly and the sleeper and rail, and prevent debris from affecting the installation accuracy and connection stability.
2. Install the sleeper pad
Place the pad: Place the sleeper pad accurately on the predetermined position of the sleeper. If the pad has a directional requirement, such as a pad with a drainage groove or special texture, it must be placed in the correct direction. The pad must fit tightly against the sleeper surface and there must be no raised or hanging parts.
3. Install rail fasteners
Initial positioning: Place the rail fasteners in the appropriate positions on the bottom and sides of the rail. For spring clip fasteners, ensure that the spring clip opening is oriented correctly and fits properly with the rail and sleeper pad. Some fasteners may require that a portion of the assembly, such as the base, be installed first before installing other components.
Adjustment and tightening: Adjust the position of the rail fastener so that it can accurately clamp the rail and make close contact with the sleeper pad. Use special tools, such as a torque wrench, to tighten the bolts and nuts according to the specified torque value to firmly fix the rail fastener on the rail and the sleeper pad. During the tightening process, pay attention to whether the fastener clamps the rail evenly to avoid a situation where one side is tight and the other side is loose.
4. Inspection and adjustment
Overall inspection: After installation, conduct an overall inspection of the Rail Clip Assembly. Check whether each component is firmly installed, whether the rail is firmly fixed to the sleeper, and whether there is any looseness or displacement. At the same time, check whether the connection between the Rail Clip Assembly and the rail and sleeper is tight, and whether there are any gaps or other abnormalities.
Adjustment and repair: If any problems are found during installation, such as loose parts, position deviation, etc., timely adjustment and repair should be carried out. Re-tighten the bolts and nuts, or adjust the position of the rail fasteners until the Rail Clip Assembly is installed in accordance with the requirements.
